Promoting The Greater Good

We are a non-profit accreditation body with its members joining hands to raise the standards for the Health and Wellness community, promoting independent practitioners who share values of ethical and safe business practices for a sustainable world.

International Health & Wellness Standards Association

IHWSA is created to provide accreditation to independent wellness practitioners and wellness training establishments. Its standards are internationally agreed by experts in the health and wellness fields. Think of them as a formula that describes the best, most ethical and safest way of doing something.

It could be about treatment protocols, service delivery, training guidelines, code of ethics and code of conduct – standards cover a huge range of activities.

Standards are the distilled wisdom of people with expertise in their subject matter and who know the needs of the organizations they represent – people such as practitioners, educators, patients, clients, trade associations, users or regulators.

Wellness establishments are vital components of any well-ordered and humane society. That independent wellness services and training centers should be places of safety, not only for clients but also for practitioners and for the general public, is of the greatest importance. Quality of therapies and services are also of great interest to many other bodies, including governments, wellness training centers, client organizations, shareholders of companies providing wellness services, etc. However, accreditation schemes are not the same thing as government-controlled initiatives set up to assess wellness providers with only governmental objectives in mind.

How quality is maintained and improved in independent wellness services is the subject of much debate. Assessment and accreditation is one recognized means by which this can be achieved.
